I always regarded the
iPhone as nothing more than a really expensive toy. Here in Germany, getting an iPhone amounts to €399 for the purchase plus €49 a month for two years. That's quite a lot of money for a mobile phone, and this was my primary reason for not getting one.
However, when
Apple announced the 2.0 firmware and SDK last week and I got a chance to play around with it for a while, I changed my mind and decided to buy an iPhone. It arrived on Thursday, and I've been playing around with it a lot ever since.
I'm planning on developing and releasing some iPhone applications eventually, although I haven't yet made up my mind what I should do first. I have a bunch of ideas written down and will go through them to find out how to proceed.
Anyway, here are the unpacking pictures.
